The dental procedure wasn't as bad as expected.  It's definitely not a day at the spa.  Anesthetic has worn off and I'm not in any pain.  It feels...alien.  And my brain is fried.  But I still have to get this #@%@#$ proposal written.  The dentist was right-on with his estimates for time and price.  Luckily his guess that it would be an "easy" ( Read more... )

El Jefe is out of town and gave me an assignment: depict my PhD Specific Aims pictorally.  Um...kaaaay.  I'm up to Rough Sketch stage.  Suggestions for jumping over to the Polished Image stage?  I'm not much of an artist so I was hoping for something I can use to modify/create stuff that looks similar to the "warning" signs I see around, with the ( Read more... )
